No one ever said that there was online/syslink co-op play.
There is no need to say a feature that was not going to be in the game isn't in the game.
Else there would have to be a long list of things that aren't in the game.
Wrong. In one of the first halo2 interview a dev say : imagine a battle of halo1
this the marines aganist the covenant, and imagine that every marine play aganist the cpu to
wins the battle, you would imagine what halo2 would be."
This maean a big coop live play...so it is a lot of disappoint that they did not
make the coop.
Actually, they were eluding to online multiplayer. The Spartans vs Elites.
They were hoping to make co-op Live/System-Link... however, there are large technical hurdles that could not be cracked in time for the November release date.
Also sys link coop in not in the game. bungie say that in halo1 where was not
sys.link coop only for a time issue, but now again the sys-link coop where is not.
Halo 2 is not Halo 1 with new images. It is a totally new game. There are a LOT of new things in the game, and network co-op was low on the priority list.
And the reason is only because if it would a lot of oerson would play it over
xbc instead to play over xbl.
