/news/?cat=Video gamesThat's right, according to Eurogamer's quick writeup of some recently released stats about Xbox Live, 360 owners play Xbox Live 25 times a week, as opposed to merely six times per week for normal Xbox owners.

Of these Xbox Live owners, sixty percent have used some of the Arcade Games, and eighty-five percent have downloaded some content from the marketplace.

To compound this, more than half of all 360 owners have Xbox Live, compared to one in ten for Xbox owners. The most staggering fact, however, is this:

Halo 2 has logged over a third of all hours of gameplay on Xbox Live, since its launch - two years before Halo 2 was released - for a total of 500 million gameplay hours. Wow.

Obviously the Microsoft execs were right. Online is the future of gaming. Makes you wonder how the Playstation 3 can hold a candle, when it's released.
